I wanted to have a pity party of one when I went for that beer. I never imagined I would meet a dark and dangerous man. That man took me on the wildest ride of my life. Literally and Figuratively. He quickly became my entire world.
Him
I didn't know I was looking for her. I saw her warming that bar stool and knew she would be mine. A man like me doesn't deserve the likes of her. But damned if I didn't take it.
Her
When we met for the first time we didn't know that we already had a connection. A cruel game was being played, and we didn't know the rules. Sam would save us, but at what cost? Sam was one of my main reasons for living. If he wasn't in this world anymore, would I still want to be a part of it?

I am a married mom of three perfectly crazy children (They get it from their father.) I'm in school for my BSN. I'm an avid reader and go through books like candy. Romance books are my vice, and you will never catch me not reading something. I've had Boomtown's story floating around in my brain for some time, and finally decided to just go ahead and write it.

Deleted Scenes from Boomtown
Scene #1
I watched her leave, and cursed myself for my stupidity. I shouldn’t have kicked her out, but I was overwhelmed.
All I had to do today was work on a Dyna’s pipes. So why the fuck had I sent her packing?
The entire ride to her truck, I was trying to think of excuses for her to stay, but nothing came out of my mouth when I’d turned the bike off beside her truck.
At the last second, I’d thought to give her my cell phone number, programming it into her phone myself.
Knowing there was nothing I could do now but berate myself, I started the bike up with a low throaty roar, and headed to Free. Pulling my bike up beside Gabe’s, I shut it off, then cursed when I saw all eyes turn to me, narrowing in suspicion.
“Who was that girl on your bike?” Gabe asked.
Nosy little shits. All of them.
“Some girl I met at the bar last night.” I murmured.
“You don’t normally bring girls here. Normally you go to their place.” Max laughed from the office doorway.
“Why are y’all so worried about me?” I asked, frustrated.
They were right though. I didn’t normally bring women here. In fact, I never have. I go to their places because I don’t want them inside the compound. I didn’t know them, and in my life, I’ve learned to be cautious. Things could go south faster than you could say, “Oh, fuck.”
“Okay, what does it matter?” I asked with raised eyebrows in Max’s direction.
“You like her, don’t you Cap?” Jack teased from behind a Ford Mustang.
“Jesus Christ. Y’all gossip like a bunch of women.” I growled.
Scene #2
“Holy Fuck!” Max cried out, surprised at how hard the baby had just kicked.
“Yeah, imagine that on your cervix.” Cheyenne said, rolling her eyes.
“I don’t have a cervix, so I can’t relate.” I laughed.
Cheyenne was now six months pregnant, and she was as big as a fucking house. Not that I’d tell her that, because she’d probably castrate me with a spoon in my sleep.“They like the sound of an air wrench for some reason. I swear they go crazy every time I even get close to the garage.” She explained.
“Maybe it’s too loud, and they don’t like it.” I supplied.
“I don’t think so. They don’t get startled by the sound. More like they move around a ton and kick, like they’re dancing in there.” She said, scrunching her nose as she spoke.
“We should experiment.” Max said from beside me.
Then commenced a twenty-minute experiment between my men and my wife as they tried to see which tool the babies loved best.
“Is this what I’m paying y’all for?” I asked the room at large.
I was tired of them all having their hands on my wife.
“You’re such a Debbie Downer.” Gabe laughed.
“We’ll see how you feel when I do the same to Ember.” I snapped back.
Gabe’s mouth thinned into a straight line, and he left.
“That was kind of mean.” Cheyenne laughed.
“Payback’s a bitch.” I replied.
